In this chapter we explain what risk categories are.
Risk categories under the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) are groups of risks that companies must identify and assess in their supply chain. These categories cover various aspects such as human rights, environmental standards and working conditions.
Mapping the risk categories in your module
The superordinate types of risk categories are differentiated according to "country" and "economic sector". This differentiation results from the indices that define the risk value according to country and economic sector.
These types are in turn linked to suitable risk indices, which form the risk score.
The risk score is determined from the indices shown.
Below you have the option of editing the risk score manually or creating additional risk categories and linking them to indices.
You can adjust the risk score manually by clicking on the editing pencil.
You can now select a number from 0-5 to enter an individual risk score.
To justify the selected risk score, you must provide a reason for the selected score.
Click on "Save" to save the defined risk score.
To display the new score and evaluate the supplier, click on the green Save button at the top right of the supplier.
