How can I delete a user? (HBX)

This chapter explains how to remove a user from the Hintbox.

To delete a user, navigate to User management

For example, if the user is an administrator, click Administrators.

An overview of all administrators in the system will open. Now click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the user you want to delete.

Now click Move to trash.

A prompt appears asking whether you really want to delete the user. Now click Move to trash.

The user will then be located in the Deleted Users folder. To permanently remove a user from the system, click on the Deleted users folder.

An overview of all users in the recycle bin opens.

Username - This is the username of the person who was deleted.

Deleted by - This is the name of the person who deleted the user.

Deletion date - the date and time of the deletion.

Actions - a user can be restored or permanently removed from the system.

By clicking on the three dots next to the user, a user can be permanently removed from the system.

IMPORTANT: An administrator other than the one who deleted the user must permanently remove the user from the system.

Now click on Delete.

A prompt will appear asking whether the user should really be deleted. After clicking on Final delete, the user will be permanently removed from the system.

If you initiated the deletion process yourself, you will receive an error message at this point.

Tip:

Once a user is in the trash, they can no longer access the hint box! All functions, such as resetting the password, are disabled for this user.
