What is the materiality matrix?

In this chapter, we will explain what the materiality matrix is.

The materiality matrix shows your company's material topics from the three cateogries of environment, social affairs and corporate policy. If a topic is in the blue-colored area, it is material for your company and must be addressed in your reporting. The positioning of the topics in the matrix is based on the results of the materiality analysis. It should be noted that there may be several IRO tickets per topic in the materiality analysis. The IRO ticket with the highest overall score (damage potential * probability of occurrence) is decisive for the positioning on the respective axis of the matrix. As an individual materiality threshold can be defined in the tickets, the representation in the matrix is normalized.Screenshot 2024-10-15 at 12.34.15
